Alice Hoffman

Alice Hoffman was born in New York City and published her first novel, Property Of, when she was twenty-one and still a student in the writing program at Stanford University. Since then she has become a prolific writer, the author of numerous novels, including Practical Magic; At Risk; Here on Earth, an Oprah Book Club selection; and The Museum of the Extraordinary (Scribner, 2014). She is also the author of two collections of short fiction, eight books for children and young adults, and several screenplays. Hoffman lives in Boston and New York.
