Amy Bloom is the author of six books, including the novel Away and the short story collection Where the God of Love Hangs Out. She also has been a nominee for both the National Book Critics Circle Award and the National Book Award. Her stories have appeared in Best American Short Stories, Prize Stories: The O. Henry Awards, and numerous anthologies. Bloom lives in Connecticut and is writer in residence at Wesleyan University.
