Andre Dubus III

Andre Dubus III grew up in mill towns along the Massachusetts–New Hampshire border, the setting of his memoir, Townie (2011). He is the author of three novels, most notably House of Sand and Fog, a finalist for the National Book Award, an Oprah Book Club Selection, and adapted into an Academy Award–nominated film. Dubus has taught writing at Harvard, Tufts, Emerson, and University of Massachusetts Lowell, where he is a faculty member. He lives in Massachusetts with his wife and three children.
