Laura Kasischke is the author of seven collections of poetry, including Dance and Disappear, recipient of the Juniper Award in 2002, and most recently, Lilies Without. Her novels include Suspicious River, White Bird in a Blizzard, and The Life before Her Eyes, adapted for film. She has received the Alice Fay Di Castagnola Award from the Poetry Society of America, several Pushcart Prizes, and many other awards. A professor of English at the University of Michigan, Kasischke lives in Chelsea, Michigan, with her husband and son.
