Robin Hemley’s short short stories have been anthologized in Sudden Fiction, Continued, and New Sudden Fiction. He has received numerous honors, including the Nelson Algren Award, the Independent Press Book Award, and two Pushcart Prizes. Hemley’s work has been published in Great Britain, Germany, the Philippines, Sweden, and Japan. His most recent book, Invented Eden: The Elusive, Disputed History of the Tasaday (Farrar, Straus and Giroux, 2003), was named an Editor’s Choice Book by the American Library Association. Hemley is director of the Nonfiction Writing Program at the University of Iowa.
