Tishani Doshi

Tishani Doshi is the author of two poetry collections: Countries of the Body, winner of the Forward Prize, and Everything Begins Elsewhere. Her novel The Pleasure Seekers was long-listed for the Orange Prize and the IMPAC Dublin Literary Award, shortlisted for the Hindu Best Fiction Award, and translated into several languages. Doshi was born in Madras and received her MA in writing from the Johns Hopkins University. She received the Eric Gregory Award for Poetry and won the All-India Poetry Competition.
