Stephen Kuusisto is the author of a collection of poems, Only Bread, Only Light, and of the memoirs Planet of the Blind and Eavesdropping. His essays and poems have appeared in numerous anthologies and literary magazines. Kuusisto holds a dual appointment at the University of Iowa, teaching courses in creative nonfiction and serving as public humanities scholar at the university’s College of Medicine.
