Heather McHugh is a celebrated poet, translator, and educator. Her eight collections of poetry include Upgraded to Serious (Copper Canyon Press, 2009); Eyeshot, shortlisted for the Pulitzer Prize; and Hinge & Sign: Poems 1968–1993, named a Notable Book of the Year. She is also the author of a collection of literary essays, as well as three books of translations. A faculty member in the MFA Program for Writers at Warren Wilson College, McHugh serves as writer in residence at the University of Washington.
