You walk and the world bends toward you, curls to correlate,
unthinking as leaves waiting for rain—hands belly-up and bare,
rubbed a clean, silvered

Christie Towers was born in 1987 in Easton, Maryland, and received a BFA in poetry from Emerson College. She was a finalist in Narrative’s First and Second Annual Poetry Contests. Towers lives in Somerville, Massachusetts.
