and immediately began revising us.
The mayor needed a bushier mustache
and some footnotes, none of which
involved his family, who had been redacted completely
on the grounds that he was a better character
as a lonely bachelor, possibly even a repressed homosexual,
which is the only kind of homosexual
that interests The Writer.
