It reads like John Kendrick Bangs in a Judeo-Christian Hell. The idea of everything leading to pain and suffering for everyone present in the story draws more questions. Will the hero find he has not been thinking for himself after all and ultimately suffer greater? Or will he find that literal door? Is his free thinking the figurative door itself? Where will digging in his own past bring him, in the end? What an intriguing beginning.
"The News From Hell" came across to me as a fresh take on The Screwtape Letters, erupting with humor whilst plunked in the middle of everything that has been damned. This one had me giggling consistently, so I would say yes, good show indeed!
This is excellent. Great fun!!
Highly original and a lot of fun! Can't wait to read the whole book.
