This does happen, yes, unfortunately even in China. It's just that you don't usually hear about it. I have to say that as one who watched her go through this, I marveled at Lynda's bravery as she dealt with the aftermath of this.

I led tours (mostly composed of women) to many countries over twenty-seven years. Two were to China, in which I have also traveled extensively on my own. China is generally a safe country, but in any country, if you don't size up the circumstances and make good decisions, you can be in for trouble.
