New York 2005 - DVD

Narrative Night Readings

A Bowery Nightclub was the scene of our first-ever event. About three hundred people were on hand to hear Narrative Prize winner Min Jin Lee kick off the evening with scenes from her then–novel in progress, Free Food for Millionaires, which later became a bestseller.

Then Narrative Prize winner Pia Z. Ehrhardt kept the audience rapt and in laughter with scenes from her novel Speeding in the Driveway. And finally, James Salter, reading his story “Palm Court,” from his collection Last Night, gave a performance that only a master can give.

Salter also talked inspiringly about about life and art.

These recordings are bits of history you won’t want to miss.

The recordings were made at our Autumn 2005 event in NYC.
