Narrative Night Readings

Poetry made its debut in Narrative on this occasion, with Copper Canyon Press director and Narrative poetry editor Michael Wiegers on hand to introduce Arthur Sze and Dan Gerber, each giving sublime readings from their works. And in our view, Narrative was not complete until the poets joined us.

This evening was celebratory with Robert Olen Butler reading short shorts from his book Intercourse, about the sexual pairings of renowned individuals; and Ann Beattie closed the evening with a beguiling reading of her story “Find and Replace,” from her collection Follies.


The recordings were made at our Autumn 2007 event in Santa Fe.
