Bruce (Bandanaed)

I’ve got more essence than a Scorsese nightclub scene.
My spirit twinkles like tea lights
            above a backyard patio in 1950s Queens.
            The whole family’s always here.
There’s Szechuan hot peppers in my touch.
When people look into my eyes
            they say they can hear the Mormon Tabernacle Choir
            singing Handel’s Messiah on the Sunday before Christmas
            with Ronan Tynan on the solo.
