George David Clark was born in Savannah, Georgia, and earned a BA from Union University, an MFA from the University of Virginia, and a PhD from Texas Tech University. His poem “Python in a Grand Piano” won First Place in the 2012 Narrative 30 Below Contest. A Lilly Postdoctoral Fellow at Valparaiso University, Clark lives in Indiana with his wife and son.
