Heather McHugh is a celebrated poet, translator, and educator. Her numerous poetry collections include Upgraded to Serious; Eyeshot, shortlisted for the Pulitzer Prize; and Hinge & Sign: Poems 1968–1993, named a Notable Book of the Year. She is also the author of a collection of literary essays, as well as three books of translations. An occasional faculty member in the MFA Program for Writers at Warren Wilson College, McHugh serves as Pollock Professor of Poetry at the University of Washington.
