Gabriel Tallent, author of the debut novel My Absolute Darling, grew up in Mendocino, California, and received a BA from Willamette University, with a focus on eighteenth-century literature. His story “Men Against Violence” won Third Place in Narrative’s Fall 2011 Story Contest. Tallent lives in Salt Lake City.
