Curt Richter is an accomplished photographer whose published work includes A Portrait of Southern Writers. His prints are part of the permanent collections at the Museum of Modern Art, the National Portrait Gallery, the Victoria and Albert Museum, and Bibliothèque nationale, and the New York Public Library. Born in New York City, he earned a BFA from SUNY Purchase and assisted the architectural photographer Ezra Stoller. Among other notable works are portraits begun in Key West of authors Judy Blume, Ann Beattie, and Tina Chang. Richter lives in Finland.
