Jesus and the Internet

Imagine a life like the Internet,
accessible only in certain times and places,

often with a slight delay. The Internet and the human
memory: everything is there, it’s the connections


that break. Have you ever pressed
the lever on the toaster over and over before seeing


the empty outlet? Some people see the face of Jesus Christ
in toast. Some people see the face of Jesus Christ in suffering.
