Natalie Shapero is the author of the poetry collections Stay Dead (Copper Canyon Press, 2025), Popular Longing, Hard Child, and No Object. Born in Chester, Pennsylvania, she received a BA from Johns Hopkins University, an MFA from Ohio State University, and a JD from the University of Chicago. She lives in Los Angeles and teaches writing at the University of California, Irvine.
