Brenda McCaffrey, who grew up in Hawaii, earned a PhD in electrical engineering from Arizona State University and founded a semiconductor test company. She has worked extensively in media arts, dance, and movement and studied poetry at the University of Chicago. She lives in Phoenix, Arizona, with her husband.
