Brooks Mendell is the author of books on forestry and baseball, including Loving Trees Is Not Enough and Beaverball. He received an MBA from UC Berkeley and a PhD in forest finance from the University of Georgia. The founder of Forisk Consulting, Mendell lives near Athens, Georgia.
