James Kaplan

James Kaplan is the author of two novels, Pearls’ Progress (1989) and Two Guys from Verona (1998), a New York Times Notable Book of the Year. His nonfiction books include You Cannot Be Serious (2002), John McEnroe’s autobiography, co-authored by Kaplan. His essays and profiles have regularly appeared in national periodicals, and his short fiction is included in Best American Short Stories. Kaplan lives with his family in New York State and is at work on a biography of Frank Sinatra.
