Ben Lerner is the author of three poetry collections, The Lichtenberg Figures, Angle of Yaw, and Mean Free Path (Copper Canyon Press, 2010). He was a finalist for the National Book Award in poetry, and in 2011 he became the first American to win the Preis der Stadt Münster für Internationale Poesie. His first novel, Leaving the Atocha Station (2011), won The Believer Book Award and was a finalist for the Los Angeles Times Book Award for First Fiction and the New York Public Library’s Young Lions Award. Lerner teaches in the writing program at Brooklyn College.
