Matthew Zapruder was born in 1967 in Washington, DC, and is the author of four poetry collections: American Linden, awarded the Tupelo Press Editors Prize; The Pajamaist, winner of the William Carlos Williams Award from the Poetry Society of America; Come On All You Ghosts, a New York Times Notable Book of the Year; and Sun Bear (Copper Canyon Press, 2014). He has also published a collaborative work with painter Chris Uphues, For You in Full Bloom. Zapruder teaches in the MFA program at St. Mary’s College in Moraga and lives in San Francisco.
