Amber Blaeser-Wardzala, author of the novel Another Name for Red (Pantheon, 2027), is an Anishinaabe writer, beadwork artist, and jingle dress dancer from the White Earth Nation in Minnesota. She received her MFA from Arizona State University, and her writing was featured in Never Whistle at Night: An Indigenous Dark Fiction Anthology. She is a visiting assistant professor of fiction at the Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio.
