Andre Dubus III

Andre Dubus III grew up in mill towns along the Massachusetts–New Hampshire border, the setting of his memoir, Townie. He is the author of several novels, including Such Kindness and the New York Times bestseller House of Sand and Fog, which was adapted into an Academy Award–nominated film, as well as a collection of personal essays, Ghost Dogs: On Killers and Kin (2024). Dubus has taught writing at Harvard, Tufts, Emerson, and University of Massachusetts, Lowell, where he is a faculty member. He lives in Massachusetts with his wife and three children.
