Charlie Watts, a finalist in Narrative’s 2018 Winter Story Contest, was also the winner of the 2015 Raymond Carver Short Story Contest. Born in Washington, DC, he grew up on the campus of Bucknell University and on a family farm in New Hampshire. He earned both a BFA and an MFA from Brown University. He and his wife, a chaplain, have three grown children and live in Rhode Island and New Hampshire.
