Cristen Aery, a finalist in Narrative’s Sixteenth and Eighteenth Annual Poetry Contests, earned a degree from Stanford University in film and media studies and an MA from the University of Southern California. She has worked in television and film, including at Sundance, where she helped manage programs to support emerging writers and directors. The mother of three daughters, she lives in Pasadena, California.
