Cristen Aery was a finalist in Narrative’s Sixteenth Annual Poetry Contest. She earned a degree from Stanford University in film and media studies and an MA from the University of Southern California and has worked in television and film, including at Sundance, where she helped manage programs to support emerging writers and directors. The mother of three daughters, she lives in Pasadena, California.
