Debra Jo Immergut is the author of the literary thriller The Captives (2018) as well as the short fiction collection Private Property. A graduate of the Iowa Writers’ Workshop, she has worked as an editor and a journalist, and has taught writing in various settings, including libraries, military bases, and prisons. Immergut lives in western Massachusetts.
