Glynnis Fawkes is the illustrator and coauthor, with Eric H. Cline, of 1177 BC: A Graphic History of the Year Civilization Collapsed and the author-illustrator of Charlotte Brontë before Jane Eyre and Persephone’s Garden, among other books. She has worked as an archaeological illustrator around the Aegean Sea and the Eastern Mediterranean, teaches at the Center for Cartoon Studies, and lives in Burlington, Vermont.
