Jhumpa Lahiri

Jhumpa Lahiri was born in London and grew up in Rhode Island. Her debut story collection, Interpreter of Maladies, received the O. Henry Award, a Pen/Hemingway Award, and the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction. Her second collection is Roman Stories (Knopf, 2023), nine pieces all set in Rome. Her novel, The Namesake, was published in 2003, and a movie based on the book was released in 2007. Lahiri lives in Brooklyn with her husband and two children.
