Joe David Bellamy (1941–2014) was born in Cincinnati and attended Duke University and the Iowa Writers’ Workshop. He is the author of eighteen books, notably Suzi Sinzinnati, winner of the Editors’ Book Award, as well as New World Extra, The Lost Saranac Interviews, Literary Luxuries, and The New Fiction. His story collection, Atomic Love, was an AWP Award Series Selection.
