Joseph Farris (1924–2015) was the author of several cartoon collections, including Phobias and Therapies, A Cog in the Wheel, They’re a Very Successful Family, and Money Inc., as well as a memoir, A Soldier’s Sketchbook. He also illustrated a number of books, such as The Latin Riddle Book and Loose Leaf. His work has been widely anthologized and is part of the permanent collections of the Bruce Museum, the US Army Women’s Museum, and the Morgan Library and Museum.
