Kurt Beattie is artistic director emeritus at Seattle’s ACT Theatre, where he served as artistic director for thirteen years. He has directed more than forty professional productions, and as an actor has performed numerous roles in US theaters. Also a poet and playwright, he has received Seattle Arts Fund’s Outstanding Achievement in the Arts Award and the Gregory Falls Sustained Achievement Award. He lives in Poulsbo, Washington.
