Maryanne Chrisant

Maryanne Chrisant is a transplant cardiologist whose writing is influenced by her experiences as a physician and medical missions in Central America. She earned a BS from Tufts University, where she studied poetry with Denise Levertov, and graduated from New York Medical College. She directs the Heart Transplant and Advanced Cardiac Therapies Program at Children’s Hospital at Montefiore in the Bronx, New York.
