Sitting to the South
of My Secondhand

by Kary Wayson

I love this poem, Kary. It has pathos and sting in it. I'd like to share it with my poetry group. Hope that's OK. --Another word lover.

The jaundice of accomplishment, the tarnish of achievement, so well expressed in half light truth, not too defined but gnawing. This is such a salutary poem because so universally applicable. How to deliver it to someone it might en-wisen? Yes, the sting!

I love the plant metaphor and the raw feeling here!
