happy hour

by Danez Smith

Just a genuine and genuinely wonderful poem: what a piece to begin a new day, new week. Bravo y ole' from Granada.

Wow! So much said, and so beautifully. I especially loved the images of the moles and flowers for counting friends and the blending of the living and the dead.

I like the imagery in this poem mixed with thoughts about loss, losing, lost. Beautiful.

Very exciting, very impressive!

Excellent! Plato must have been right about the concept of ideas. There must be an idea of "grandma" hidden somewhere in the sky that makes them all look the same. And different at the same time.
