It wasn't until Smerdyakov that I realized what this was, having been forty years or so since I'd read the source. Obviously, I'd been entertained enough to make it that far; but at that moment, the proverbial aha, as with all epiphanies great or small, my appreciation exponentially increased. So very clever, so very exquisitely wrought, such lovely juxtapositions of tone-inflected language (base, raw / sublime, ethereal). Brava, young lady.
