I would like to thank Jon Davis for his writing and thank Narrative for publishing it. "Yodel" is poignant because we all should reconsider the happiness we suppress in ourselves and in others. "Portrait" surprised me because of the way the author sought just the right words for what he meant to say, and exposed the reader to his search. "In Darkness" reveals the author's joy in living. "What Now?" is a brilliant emotional response to brilliant music, which is a brilliant emotional response in itself. These four poems brought me great joy. Thank you.
I enjoyed reading Jon Davis's poetry. Each poem offers a particular voice and thought. I appreciate the fluid lucidity of his writing and his dynamic crafting of format and style. I will study each poem again and again.
