Faith was very believable as a character — her dialogue, inferences, and actions. I loved the imagery of the narrator cradling the mummified babe. Fascinating story!
Beautiful story, Maryanne. Very moving in how it blended fantasy with reality. A healthy sense of fantasy helps us deal with reality, but eventually must be let go.
