I can’t bring myself to visit Grandpa Homer in nearby Toledo, but I do what I can. I clean my mother’s house. Meanwhile, I’ve learned that when Grandpa is frustrated at being unable to move, he yells at my grandmother, who yells at my mother. The residue of the yelling sticks to Mom, so to lessen it, I make her house look nice. I’m there to listen.
