Prank and Other Poems

Prank

i can’t stop rubbing skin from you, brother,
won’t quit the torture of the noogie, the hertz

donut, the wedgie, the indian burn, the pink
belly as allies pin your spine upon a bench.

i want you to hurt until you cannot laugh,
so you lash back. hot foot and titty twist,

swirlies, dumpster dumps in parking lots.
hurt, brother, and have hate enough to punch,

split my lip, bruise me with your flailing fists,
so i can come harder, in larger numbers,

with the hot gush of justice on my side.
hurt, brother. i’m not your bully. i’m more

priest than lover. i baptize you in gutters
of bloody rainwater. no kiss could hold this.
