Thanks to you, our readers, writers, and believers, Narrative Night 2022 was a grand success! Friends and supporters helped Narrative raise funds for another year of publishing great stories, poems, and more—and for discovering a new generation of talent. Along the way, there was laughter and inspiration and the warmth of community.

Our High School Contest winners proved, in the words of guest judge and Pulitzer Prize–winning poet Jericho Brown, that the “spirit of poetry is still alive.” This year’s Narrative Prize winners, Morgan Talty and Tryphena Yeboah, pulled the curtain back to reveal the ways in which support from publishers and readers sustains a writer, and longtime Narrativo Ocean Vuong carried the evening home with his special brand of magic, remembering his own Narrative story from the start of his career: “Early faith . . . allows you to do everything else.”
