THE AUTHOR’S NOTEBOOKS reveal the insertions, deletions, queries, and corrections he made in the course of creating his novel Children of Light and, within it, the screenplay version of Kate Chopin’s novel The Awakening. Stone deleted it from the novel prior to publication, instead choosing to let his depiction of the filming convey the drama of the screenplay.
